" A gold rush for pirating of bio-products including even human cell lines from the north-eastern region is the latest craze among developed nations of the world ", said Dr.N.Sanajaoba, Professor of Law of Gauhati University today.
" Dr.Sanajaoba said that the current patent laws of the country [sic. as in 1999] are potentailly dangerous for indigenous bio varieties of tribal and ethnic communities which will be more aggravated once WTO patent laws come into force."
